Senior Cadet Instructors’ Cadre (SCIC)
What is a SCIC?
The SCIC is a 4-Star optional subject designed to increase the cadet’s knowledge of the Technique of Instruction which he/she was first introduced to on the Junior Cadet Instructors’ Cadre (JCIC), and to give him/her early experience of the art of leadership.
Who is allowed to do this course?
Senior Cadet NCOs selected to attend the cadre must have a sound knowledge of all subjects up to and including 3-Star, and they must have proved, by their performance on the JCIC, that they are potential instructors.
What is the Aim of the course?
The aim of the course is to teach ACF Senior Cadets in Drill, Turnout and Military Knowledge, Skill at Arms, Use of Map and Compass and Fieldcraft.
Who runs the course?
Six Regular Army staff from 40 Cadet Training Team (CTT) who are located within our HQ building, with the assistance of adult instructors from Lancashire and Cumbria ran the course at Warcop Training Centre in Cumbria during 9th - 18th Feb 07.
How many cadets were on this course?
Approx. 22 cadets from the two County’s attended and took part in this very demanding course.
