Warrant Officer’s & Sergeants Mess Dinner Night

Annual Camp (Barry Buddon) 2005

 

Lancashire Army Cadet Force along with all other County ACFs need adults to train and supervise cadets while on cadet duties.  Lancashire Army Cadet Force are always looking for dedicated adults (both female and male) who are willing to give the commitment of 1 or 2 evenings a week, 4 or more weekends a year and an annual camp normally lasting two weeks.

You should be between 18 and 55 years old and be of a reasonable fitness, having your own transport would be an advantage as would previous military experience - although this is not necessary, If you do not have the required skills you will be trained and practiced to acquire them.

Training

You will be expected to attend company training sessions followed by assessment weekends which will allow you to complete the require Initial Training Course (ITC). During the first years of your ACF career you will also have to attend an Adult Instructors Course at the Cadet Training Centre at Frimley Park in Surrey

The effort and contribution you put into the training of our youth will be rewarded with a great sense of achievement and whilst the ethos of the ACF is built around volunteers, you will be entitled to be paid up to 21 Paid Training

Days (PTD’S), paid at the daily rate depending on the rank held, see the table below for current rates of pay.

There are two routes of employment in the ACF; the Adult Instructor would start as a Probationary Instructor (PI) and having passed the ITC they would become a Sergeant Instructor (SI).

Promotion is available to Sergeant Major Instructor, all of these levels are civilian based and their employment comes within a contract of employment. This is the normal method of joining the ACF.

 It is also possible to become a Commissioned Officer in the ACF.

Specialist Training

Once you have completed an Adult Instructors Course at Frimley Park. You will be able to apply for specialist courses these cover Adventure Training, Range Management, First Aid Instructors.
